The rubber switch cover tore after a year, and the lens bezel threads wore quickly with the repeated bulb changes. The light is bright and long lasting.
This lamp is far superior to the ones I had been using. I bought this on a whim. Thought I could use it in tight places and under tables on which I do wiring for a model railroad. You can direct the light, it stays steady on the floor and no cord to drag along. Wish I had purchased it years ago.
Like others have mentioned, it's handy to have a flashlight that stands up on its own and has an adjustable directional beam. I bought it to also allow me to drain my NiCad battery packs between uses and to make additional use of my cordless drill batteries. It's pricey for a flashlight, that's my only reason for not giving it 5 stars.
I cant say enough about this flashlight. Its simple, the head swivels up and down, and it has an off on switch. With the battery installed, it is very stable too. I wont go on and on, but if you have an extra battery, this is where you should be keeping it, on the bottom of this awesome flashlight.
I love this flashlight. My favorite feature on the flashlight is the swivle head. I am an electrician so I use a flashlight quite often. As I already own a Porter Cable 14.4 volt drill, the convinience of having a battery at the ready for the flashlight is awesome. I can put the light down and aim it at the target easily and not have to use an extra hand to hold the light. Usually lasts about 2 hours on a fully charged battery.
